VOLUNTEER
Each year, HOBY New Hampshire programs provide unique leadership training, service learning and motivation building experiences to 100 high school sophomores attending over 65 high schools across the state.
All HOBY New Hampshire programs are operated by dedicated volunteers in a variety of both long-term and short-term volunteer positions.
Volunteer Roles
Corproate Board
The HOBY New Hampshire Corporate Board is comprised of representatives of various businesses, cooperating organizations and HOBY NH program planning volunteers. The Board ensures the quality and quantity of programming by providing oversight to all activities conducted in New Hampshire under the HOBY name.
Program Planning
All HOBY New Hampshire programs, including the annual Sophomore Leadership Seminar, Community Leadership Workshops, and Alumni Activities, are planned by volunteers in a variety of leaderships roles with varying time commitments and levels of responsibilities. Most typically involve
a year-long commitment.
Episodic Volunteers
Perhaps our most important volunteers are those who hold episodic volunteer roles. These individuals volunteer their time for a specific time frame during one of our programs in a variety of roles including group facilitators, execution of tasks, and during service projects.
